It is hard to ask for help. Honestly, I’ve been struggling with it. But I realize my hesitation comes from fear and pride. Neither of those are from the Lord. So I’m laying them both down and taking a step of faith by sharing this need with our community. It’s only by taking an obedient step into the unknown that we are able to experience the fullness of what God can do. So here it goes.
Our adoption has unexpectedly kicked into hyperdrive and we are at a place where we need help. We need to raise $5500 by January 15th to pay a child rearing fee to the orphanage in China. This is a part of our agency’s adoption expenses. However, this money goes DIRECTLY to the orphanage where our daughter lives. The orphanage uses this money to fund their programs that serve over 800 orphaned children. With your donation you would be directly caring for orphans in China as well as helping us bring our little girl home.
So we humbly ask for your help. Here is how you can support us:
- Pray – We believe in the power of prayer. Please pray for our daughter. Pray for healing over her body and her brain. She is diagnosed with brain damage and has suffered from seizures. We do not know the extend of her condition. Pray that the Lord will fully heal her. And pray for her heart during this transition. She currently lives with foster parents on the orphanage campus. Leaving them will be difficult and terrifying for her. Pray God would do a work now to prepare all of us for the day we meet her. And pray that God will supply all our financial needs. Adoption is expensive, but we do not want to let money stop of us from doing what God has called us to do.
- Donate– Any amount is helpful. Even $5 gets us one step closer to bringing our daughter home. You can give by clicking here .
- Share– Please share our story with your people. Tag people on Instagram, share our YouCaring Page, email your friends. The more who know the better.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. We have been so encouraged by everyone’s love and enthusiasm during this process. You guys bless us with your support more than you know. Thank you.
