This is it. The big reveal. My heart exposed.
This is the beginning of a new journey in my life. A new chapter. And I am thrilled that you are here with me from the start. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Renee Booe and I am a portrait photographer currently living in Tokyo, Japan with my American soldier. I’ve been in business as Renee Booe Photography since 2009. I primarily photograph families, children, and couples. Well, until now.
I believe God has called me to use my photography for His Kingdom. The specific mission: to use photography to spur others on to love and good deeds. (Hebrews 10:24)
The first project will take place later this summer. I will be traveling to China to photograph an adoption! The purpose is to both bless the adoptive parents with beautiful images and to use the photos publicly to educate and encourage others to both adopt and support the parentless. (More details HERE)
The larger vision, which is so beyond me it is overwhelming, is to start a nonprofit organization that would do more service projects like this with photography. So not just photographing adoptions but anything that the Lord would see fit such as mission trips, small business in poor nations making a difference, people taking care of widows, feeding the poor, prison outreach, and much more. The possibilities are endless but the goal would be synonymous: to photograph world changers to spur others on to do the same.
I’ve spent many months at God’s feet in prayer over this new path He has placed before me. I do believe it is divinely inspired. However, details are still up in the air, there are so many unknowns. I can easily get lost and discouraged when I begin to think about how all of this will come together. This is when I run back to His feet and remind myself that He is in control. I trust Him. I love Him. And because of His great love for me I will take a leap of faith holding on to the promise that He knows the plans He has for my life.
I am so excited to see what God’s going to do in this to accomplish His purpose. And I am declaring now that this project is all for His glory. I am just a vessel, a humble servant who has heard a call and decided to say “yes.”
